A damage-oriented Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method that focuses on three categories: damage to human health, to ecosystem quality and to resources. The results for these three categories can be combined into a single score using default weighting factors. Alternatively, the results can be presented graphically using a triangle-tool.
Eco-indicator 99 and CML were the two LCA methods used in this study to assess the full environmental impacts of disposing of waste streams through a particular thermal treatment technology.
